Retain first

The most sustainable building was already on site.

Instead of replacing the 1960s concrete frame, we carefully mapped its capacity, cut only where daylight and access required it, and designed a lightweight timber extension above.

New brickwork uses reclaimed stock from two nearby demolition sites. Deep reveals, shared winter gardens, and cross-ventilated plans give each home a distinct relationship with the courtyard.
